@bashbunni i recently watched a streamer (variety games, likes puzzles) with zero experience in coding try a game where you program little robots to move through increasingly complex levels.

the speedrun through the common instances of ‘why did it do things wrong? oh, because it did exactly what i told it to’ that manifested was so delightful. not least because it did lead to a point of seeing what the appeal of coding is about.

i used to be sceptical of gamifying programming, but honestly, i think i might have to come round for those cases.
