@spaf Yeah.... there's "hot damn, too junior to be involved in this crap", "sweet cheezus can I get out of so damn many MEETINGS"... and, lucky me, "I'm a Senior Engineer, it's my _perogative_ to say NO." 🎉 (I mean, sometimes I can't, because sometimes they ARE my monkeys, and I have to keep the circus running, but _most_ of the time I'm like "Y'all figure out the Big Picture and flip me a ticket, and THEN if we have to talk about it (i.e. I have to Say No) we'll talk but if it's half way decently put together I'll just Do That Voodoo What I do...

(This is also why I won't let them hang "manager" around my neck... that would make me vulnerable to (3) and nay *frack* that... much prefer the Senior/Staff/Principal track... )
