This administration is saying that "people should have to prove that they deserve health care" as justification for kicking millions off Medicaid. That's eugenics.

Health care is a human right, and everyone deserves access to health care no matter who they are, what they do, or how they live.

@luckytran
The entire point is mass death of disabled and elderly people. This administration has all but called us "useless eaters", once we're not dying fast enough, the rhetoric about how much we're costing "taxpayers" and how we don't contribute to society will ramp up to build public hatred for us. That will make the next step of putting us in their ICE detention centers to kill us even easier.

Edit: I know I keep sounding alarmist, my grandparents' families were still in Germany, and some cousins with developmental disabilities were killed under Aktion T4. I don't need to wait to see how the story ends this time.

@heathen_cat @luckytran I agree fully. You're not alarmist, you just know history better than many. (my mother's beloved grandfather, probably a case of early dementia or Alzheimer's, was murdered in Hadamar, also T4)
@heathen_cat @luckytran We need to kill off the fascists. They aren't dying fast enough for me. 🙄
@luckytran hot take: the point of a government is to do that sort of shit that individuals and small communities find it hard to feasibly do and which sort of need to be done at a big scale. and trump et al are abdicating that role, that fundamental purpose, of a government.

@luckytran

"This administration is saying that "people should have to prove that they deserve health care""

Easy-peasy

Anyone who wants #Medicaid should simply provide, in writing, a healthcare diagnosis and needs assessment from #UnitedHealthcare

Next question?

@luckytran

And even for someone who cares solely about their own health, living in a world where everyone has the capacity to become a disease vector but also has some level of basic healthcare is just safer (and probably lower cost) for everyone.

@calbaker @luckytran You think that way because you accept germ theory.

The HHS secretary, on the other hand, does not; he thinks people get sick because of individual failures.

We can’t even appeal to their sense of self-preservation to do the right thing if they are too willfully ignorant to believe they and endangering themselves.

@luckytran Deserve healthcare ?

Your Fired!!

@luckytran Then the default is “People don’t need health care?”
@luckytran yeah I’ll be driving four hours to support a friend who hasn’t been able to bend her fingers since 2005 if there’s an interview involved.
She had a TBI when we were in school together which did horrible things to her auto immune system.
@luckytran Reminds me of the movie "Soylent Green"

@luckytran

Frankly a society that requires fundraisers and GoFundMes so the single mom next door, that works two jobs, can afford life saving cancer care is not a civilized and caring society.

I guess all those conservatives weren’t “Pro Life” they’re just Pro Birth … after birth you’re on your own.

@luckytran At least people CAN prove they are entitled to healthcare. Imagine if billionaires and millionaires had to prove they are entitled to another tax break.

@luckytran

Everyone in Ireland gets healthcare because you can’t pay tax if you’re sick.

Tell your elected official.

@luckytran after living in BC for 2 months a resident can get a health number for free health care in the Province. The legislature decided it was easier just to cover everyone than try to collect from poor people, the homeless, etc. Everyone has a right to healthcare whether I like them or not.

@luckytran

Fascism CANNOT be voted out of power!

It has to be surgically REMOVED!
