Das Toupet hat Picard in-universe nur auf Fotos getragen. Gemacht wurden die Fotos tatsächlich bei einer Kostümprobe während des Castings. Gene Roddenberry wollte nämlich eigentlich nicht, dass Picard eine Glatze hat.
