Holy crap, Apple do not make this easy in 2025, I basically had to jailbreak the ipod (rockbox), torrent some tunes and then wait almost an hour for the music to actually copy across. I should have just bought a shitty mp3 player from Aliexpress.
Darn... batteries are shagged on both ipod minis. Luckily one will boot up enough that it can run off a powerbank but the other is totally boned.
