I promised Summer a walk this morning.
Whenever possible I keep my promises.
The excitement was real.
We tiptoed out the backdoor. I put my boots on outside.
I took time to mix up some chocolate so it could be heated up in the microwave and left two blueberry muffins for my husband so he didn't have to wait for breakfast.
We were on the trail so early we woke up a few deer sleeping in the grass. Summer wanted to give chase, but I explained that this is their home and we need to be good guests.
Good exercise for both of us. We made it all the way to the ocean which means I am regaining stamina.
