"The online left has spent the last 20 months distributing hundreds of photos and videos of dead Palestinian children. The main effect of this has been to create a population of people in a constant state of bloodboiling rage with no consequential political outlet. I fear this may be worse than useless"

This is absolutely the worst ever take. Period.

Eisenhower's soldiers took pictures of the Nazi concentration camps. Journalists in Bosnia recorded picture evidence of the genocide that happened there. There is documented proof of Pol Pot's killing fields. Yet we don't accuse them of "inducing rage" against the Nazis, or the Serbian ultranationalists, or the Khmer Rouge.

Video and photographic evidence of genocide is important to share, as a way of inducing the change in popular opinion required to stop it.

@burnoutqueen "Popular opinion" never stopped anything. Each of those genocides ran their course, as will this one. Human beings suck. Full stop.
If you find it necessary to use the word "online" as a descriptor for a problem, it probably isn't worth the time taken to discuss. It is nonexistent.
