UI frameworks have regressed so much.
I'm not saying we need to go back to Tiger's Aqua but color, depth, and details like outlines and gradients help distinguish what is something the user can interact with.

I miss having a palette that shows you what shit looks like. I don't much like having to just know what the SwiftUI widget's name is.
I wonder if SwiftUI was most eagerly adopted by the sort of people who wanted to hard code their UIs from day one, or never really got the hang of using palettes and IB.
