@jackwilliambell I was so disconnected from Gamergate that I didn’t know all of that evil shit was happening. Continuously. I always knew gamers were racist sociopaths. Thought it was par for course.

Net Neutrality and social media dropping their protections is what I saw. 4chan and stormfront. Losers like pewdiepie and Logan whatever being violent instigators was also obvious. Saw that clearly.

But no idea the impact of Gamergate was this huge. At all. Can’t even lie.

@cshlan @jackwilliambell yup. And Mike brown was about the same time twitter ended specific protections and fired their original Twitter safety thing. It just all fell apart.
