@workchronicles I remember in my previous job actually once getting fussed at because I wasn't arriving enough minutes before my shift. I do want to be clear, I was always on time. In fact, I almost without exception arrived about two minutes before. I want to be clearer still: it was official company policy that you weren't late until after five minutes past.

(Really they just sucked at scheduling things and wanted relief to arrive early so they could send people at the last possible minute on their breaks rather than just scheduling things better so that there would be overlap in coverage and, you know, maybe not planning on waiting until the last legal second to send someone on a break...)
