@paulk according to Reddit posts some of the states have decided to implement this already.
Most of the time when I see people talking about their benefits being reduced or eliminated I assume they failed to do recertification paperwork. But I believe the lady who said she got a letter about work requirements already.
This will kill people. It took me three years and three months to get a disability determination from the SSA. I actually had to go to two ALJ hearings. I live in New Hampshire so these hearings are held in Massachusetts and I assume they were hoping I wouldn’t be able to keep coming. My lawyer had to drive me to the second one because at that point my car registration was invalid, plus I was throwing up on that day from endometriosis Pain.
But my point is they were hoping I would just give up, and I couldn’t. But I would have died if I had to work for food stamps and Medicaid because I couldn’t. At all.
