Somewhat depressing being a law and policy commentator at the moment.

And for these four articles there could have been dozens of others similarly downbeat.

But the illiberals won’t always win.

@davidallengreen there are days that I feel being a human being is somewhat depressing so I definitely sympathise

I guess law is as law does, & right now it is doing little to constrain fascism locally or internationally.

Most people (including conservatives) want stronger democracy.

So that IMO is where we start from.

Once the people control the government, the courts will have to follow.
