Liquid (Gl)ass has actually encouraged me to switch to full time Pixel Fold use for a while.

It has its own issues, of course, but at least I can read it, and there have been a number of rather nice changes in Android 16.

And the battery lasts all day. Imagine the things you can do when you're not driving the GPU hard to make things unreadable.

@dnanian maybe don’t run early versions of developer software on a daily driver, and then make the switch to Android once iOS is ”unreadable” in a public release? Or switch to Android now but due to issues you find in the iOS 18 releade.
@JonathanGulbrandsen @dnanian but manufactured internet outrage promotes engagement.
@mingistech @JonathanGulbrandsen I am not trying to "manufacture internet outrage" or "promote engagement", and a basic look at my timeline proves that.

Attached: 1 image Apple significantly toned down Liquid Glass in iOS 26 beta 3 and, honestly, I'm a fan. Looks modern without feeling like a gimmick with (unfixable?) legibility issues. Still not perfect, but better IMO.

@JonathanGulbrandsen @mingistech "Toned down wankery" is still wankery. The whole concept is flawed and offers nothing of benefit to the user.
