Another conference, another day to toot like mad! Let's see how I do it.
We are starting the #RSLondon #STEPUP conference. One could say it's a smaller #RSECon but the venue doesn't give that vibe. This is so big and nice (and quite well attended).
Follow this thread to hear what's going on.
Diego (#Imperial) shows a python guide for reproducibility.
It's the researchers' responsibility to ensure reproducibility. (Not optional)
But there's a lot of terminology and tools to learn and #dRTPs are here to help!!
Researchers need a practical and simple guide to follow.
Here are the steps:
1. Indicate the dependencies
2. Say where you are running the tool
3. Explain how to install it
4. Upload the tool to #zenodo
5. Ask a friend to try reproduce it (unsupervised)
6. Iterate

The #RSE group at #imperial have been offering a free service to try to reproduce your #ResearchSoftware... but nobody has attended any of their weekly sessions (why?? are they scared? Are they perfect?)
