@puck Not yet. I haven't used git-annex but might take a look.
This is mostly for internal use with our CI system and when running experiments. We are often working on a multicast-only network or without globally routable addresses. This lets us clone and fetch git repositories without having to faff with setting up unicast routing and tunnels.
