It’s extremely important that those responsible for the crime of aggression are held accountable. Neither ordinary Russian citizens nor their leadership should escape punishment for the pain and suffering they continue to cause. Unpunished crimes encourage further aggression. #Specialtribunal

Wars are pointless, yet humans choose them above negotiation and peace. Harming civilians, and aid workers is pure cowardice. We've had 'the war to end all wars', trials, and tribunals, yet still tribalism is always allowed to creep back in, with the in-group, out-group mentality that is so destructive. The EU has helped maintain peace in Europe, yet Britain has left, to be its own tribe. The EU is just one example, together we are secure and properous, apart we are weak.
@Melinda I'd like to add that wars of territorial conquest, in which one group of people is so consumed by hatred that they try to exterminate another group and take it's land, are rare. The last war of conquest was started by the Nazis and the Communists in 1939, when they divided Eastern Europe. Now, we are facing the same problem with the Russians, whose exaggerated nationalism needs to be severely dealt with in order to prevent it from continuing to cause death and destruction in Europe.
