In anyone ever wonders why alt text matters, this is a perfect example of the form
It is not only clearly descriptive, it also taught me that the fediverse has a symbol, and a super cool one at that

Yay altText. For what it’s worth, using words like “girl” doesn’t help me picture what is there, and I hope we’ll get better at this aspect of describing images with people in them
