to the idiots using xlibre: this is the code quality of the changes
@frog Also the reason they got banned from upstream is because they sent dozens of pull requests constantly that had literally zero testing done and completely broke it nearly every time they got merged, and then metux didn't bother fixing it for days/weeks
@nytpu id say the holocaust denialism on other MLs is probably reason 2
@frog But I just meant that it's not even like they're banned for holocaust denial or criticizing Red Hat, their ban is still justified for their precious pure (lack of) technical merit
@nytpu @frog well, both are results of stupid ignorance
@nytpu @frog is there somewhere I can read about this besides their readme file

@vaartis
The XLibre dev's political statements or the technical issues? Unfortunately all are buried in various community channels or scattered archives/screenshots.

But for some samples of the spam of broken stuff attempting to upstream to xorg, there's this:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests/?sort=created_date&state=all&first_page_size=20&author_username=metux
(Over 500 pull requests, and they'd be submitted in bursts of a 100+ at a time)

And just a few of the major breakages caused by “trivial cleanup” patches:

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/issues/1760#note_2631460
