Ashwin DixitSending USAID abroad while ignoring the hungry people at home was a peculiar phenomenon of the USA, the kleptocratic empire that was a republic posing as a democracy.
The middle class liked to soothe their malaise, as beneficiaries of generational wealth ( blood money ) looted by empire over centuries, by sending aid to "those poor people" abroad, in responce to TV pleas & net memes. They could not be bothered to actually feed people at home.
