@EUCommission ban eating animal and animal products. Go vegan. This has a huge impact both on fighting global warming and fighting starvation. You know it. Be brave, enforce veganism.

@feudjais @EUCommission without meat we would still be hopping from tree to tree like chimps. Reducing the consumpion of meat would be great for starters though.

@ranx @EUCommission that's not a correct point tho. You know, you can happen to need something at some point in history, and then it becomes not needed anymore + it hurts beings. First, the non-human animals we eat. Second, the poor side of the planet who can't feed themselves because the other part chose to eat meat, using water and vegetables to breed animals. Third, the people who work on the meat chain, especially in slaughterhouses.

This is not about reducing. It is about stopping, purely and completely.

@feudjais @EUCommission I'm not a meat lover but I cannot agree with you. You do not consider all the side effects of such action. That's why also in the energy sector they are trying a transition. Imagine a deadline from where noone on the planet could drive an internal combustion car. Words are easy, getting things done are not.

@ranx @EUCommission I am aware we won't stop tomorrow, Thursday the 3rd of July, but the process of ending it must start as soon as possible. We must start to dismantle slaughterhouses, ensure revenues and new jobs for meat-workers, start new productions of vegetables, etc.

The endgoal must be "stop meat and animal products, at 100%". But the journey is long, hence the emergency to start quickly.
