They’ll set a criminal free just to put a non-criminal away for political reasons. This is how Russia does “justice” folks.
@georgetakei Reportedly, Trump is also dropping charges against actual MS-13 members accused of serious crimes probably at the request of the president of El Salvador, who used their help to get into office.

Bukele Gets Trump to Toss the Work of Vulcan, the Task Force that Pursued MS-13

In ongoing U.S. proceedings to deport MS-13 leader “Vampiro” to El Salvador, the defense accused the Trump administration of trying to hide all evidence of Nayib Bukele’s pact with the gang, which the State Department in January designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

This needs to be shared. Where can I see these reports?

Star witness against Kilmar Abrego García was due to be deported. Now he’s being freed.

Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes is a three-time felon released early from federal prison to a halfway house in exchange for testifying against Kilmar Abrego García.

Thanks. If it weren't Trump doing what's good for Trump, this would be impossible to believe.

Here's another report:

‘Historical loss’: Alleged gang leader evades US justice with deportation to El Salvador

As part of the deportation flights of alleged terrorists at the center of a legal and political storm, the US quietly dropped charges against a key alleged MS-13 leader and returned him to the pro-Trump leader of El Salvador.

@Professor_Stevens Thanks for that, I wasn't certain of the elfaro link I gave, although it seemed to be good enough for Wikipedia to use as a source.

@Professor_Stevens @severtz @georgetakei

Good news Major! We had to let Avon Barksdale, The Greek, and Stringer Bell out of prison, but they promised to testify against Bubbles!

Making deals in exchange for testimony is standard prosecutorial practice. But such deals always give the inducement to the lesser offender. This time, we've got a violent felon being given the equivalent of a pardon in return for testimony against a guy basically accused of giving undocumented migrants a ride in his car.

I hope the witness never commits another crime, but what if he does? What if he does and someone gets hurt?
