Sarah Montgomery’s death is a devastating loss for her children, family, and friends - but it is not an isolated tragedy.

Since 2020, 26 women have been killed by men in NI, exposing an epidemic of male violence that shatters lives and terrorises women and girls.

We refuse to accept a society where women live in fear. In Sarah’s memory, we demand immediate action to dismantle the systems and attitudes that allow this violence to persist.

Justice is not enough - we must build a society where women’s safety is non-negotiable.

This work must be properly funded, with funding ring-fenced to ensure vital support services and prevention initiatives are protected and can deliver real, lasting change. It must be reinforced with action to address gender inequality which feeds this toxic situation.
