Hi Fediverse, I am looking for a job for someone fleeing from the USA to germany.
The person is versed in front- and backend developement, focused on vanilla js and angular, but willing to do anything in that area. Learning German atm, understanding German pretty good already.
Area Karlsruhe would be preferred.
Someone got anything?

@banshee091 If the distance doesn't matter or if you can work remotely, try to apply in Munich by BMW, Siemens, TDK and so on. They are hiring skilled, experienced people.
Also check the pages of the local Arbeitsamt and their JobCenter as well. There are plenty of nice job offers there. But you have to be registered as a person looking for employment. At best you can go there personally and ask them for all what you need. They will gladly advice and help you with the task.
@banshee091 2/n There is one more option. You can initially get a job at companies in the so-called Zeitarbeit branch. These are companies that offer temporary employment and send employees to other companies, for example as replacements, during vacation periods, etc. This gives you a lot of freedom. In the meantime, you can get to know the area, see how some companies work and choose one of them for permanent work. In addition, you then have some money on an ongoing basis along with insurance.
@MartinaNeumayer thanks for the advice. I'm not the person in question, but still, I propably would have overlooked these obvious options :)
@banshee091 Ough, sorry, I didn't get it at the first time. I did read your toot before my morning coffee, being still a little sleepy. 😁
Either way, it is a good idea to look for a job in companies from Bayern, because this is the region that is still the most stable in terms of employment in this type of industry in the entire Germany. Nice salaries, very good job conditions, cool extras and bonuses and plenty of such things.
@MartinaNeumayer @banshee091 can I get a non-code job there too? Though, am not in Germany.

@Noncomformist123 Well.. Why not? You can always try. There's nothing that prevent you from applying an trying. 😉👍
