@jon looks like the new spec doesn’t address compression? Better compression is the main reason I use WebP instead of PNG/JPG, so not sure if I should be reconsidering PNG?

Yup, it’s not ready to compete today, but that’s the goal. I’m looking forward to when I compare it as a viable alternative, but for now I’m sticking with WebP. Still, I’m excited the work is being done.
