@wallmask3 dgshs you have a point... At first I was kind of annoyed at how much they changed in the mobile game but I am now very comfortable ignoring the pieces of canon I don't like haha. Hmm as for actively retconning... Right now not so much since they're doing an actual AU arc in the mobile game right now lmao. Everyone gets an alternate version of themselves (I posted about Lass' alt being an absolute idiot a while back LOL) but since they also have different backstories and histories it's not... Insulting to canon at least. Canon is still there, untouched by this

Though (I WILL STAY IN THE CHAR LIMIT) if I had to say what I really hate about current mobile plot, it's that everything is about the angels. Like, who? We didn't have those back then lol. We had gods in xenia but not like actual white winged angels. Bleh. It makes a mess of the plot. It weirdly destroys edel's backstory too. (i like her the least so I don't care that much but it sucks for her) and overall the writing isn't great <_<

Edel didn't exist when I stopped playing so I don't know anything about her x3 Also pretty sure(?) you care about the story more than the writers.
Why it seems like the mobile have 500 characters, is that explainable in short terms

@wallmask3 hehehe well they've been pretty unwilling to do too much additional story in classic thus far, and mobile is so far off in the alleged future that I am starting to think it's not a true sequel but also an alternative reality... Because the "another world" dungeons all came from mobile originally but things are happening completely different between the two 😖 if void had story then maybe we'd know what they were trying to do with classic but they dont (also kallia is so bizarre bc she is classic only and not in mobile at all)

I... I do care a truly disgusting amount about the story lmao. But i suppose I've assembled my own interpretation of canon over many years so I don't always adhere to it. when I don't it's usually because I don't like it hahaha. Like with things like ronan being good at cooking (i think he is terrible lmao come on he's a rich boy from a noble house, why does he know how to cook?) or stuff about kaze'aze's motivations and backstory

@wallmask3 they made her descent into villainry caused by ashtaroth demonifying her while she was serving as a knight and that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, + it manages to take away her own agency for her choices. I usually hc it as her becoming so disillusioned with humanity and the way they fight amongst themselves for shallow reasons that she goes to the extreme and wants to brainwash everyone into thinking the same way and having the same ideals, hence "peace." I think that she thinks that hunanity's emotions and illogical urges are their greatest downfall and that her plan was to rid everyone of them and kill those who couldn't be

Um. I'm getting carried away again. SO. For mobile characters; originally i think shareholders wanted the gacha aspect so they added every character that showed up in the story. Mostly. Um. Well long story short edel's brother is the reincarnation? of the god jupiter and his 4 angels, named after Jupiter's moons, both aid and obstruct them depending on their goals. Technically edel is half of the reincarnation of jupiter. I think. It's weird.

But ignoring that: we also have grandiel and one of the kids he adopted in a different universe who are. The reincarnations of ashtaroth/baldinar and his dead girlfriend LMAO. The playable one is the dead gf's soul and the other was hurt badly and recovering

Decanee btw is the soul of kaze'aze made into a new form but she notably doesn't consider herself kaze'aze but rather her own person. Ai is also in the mobile game and she's the same

@wallmask3 OH uh (imsosorry) the gc also visited the spirit world so we have some dragon/humans playable from that world too. Overall they have traveled to: kricktria aka another world, past kounat, the demon world (including dio, ley, and veigas' actual land), the underworld (which is apparently where souls go after death to be recycled; rufus is from here, and... harpe ended up here after he died... Which i hate... He's playable btw), the spirit world, back to bermesiah, ellia and archimedia lol, the celestial world where the gods and angels live, and now we're watching elesis doing things in an alternate universe that was created by jupiter because he. He kind of built the fake world because he thought the old one was bad.

I'm really bad at being concise 😔 but yeah that's why we have so many characters; because they add around 3 to 4 every world. I didnt even talk about the fallen angels or randomly adding mari's zombie father. LMAO

@quietaria I always imagined original GC ended with some sort of cliffhanger (They wouldn't finish their story, they're clearly not sure what they are writing) and mobile happened right after, not a 'far off in the future'. Interesting 😆 Also very interesting they're retconning it already, they just can't stop

I would be interested in knowing what happens in GCclassic story post-Archimedia without me having to do research, but hold on a bit I feel like if you do, it'll be very long x'D
