*deep sigh* I do not like that I'm going to have to rebuild my NAS from scratch soon. this used to be something I enjoyed tinkering with, but now it just feels like work.

been running FreeNAS then TrueNAS (BSD), which has been great. but they've discontinued it entirely and moved to Linux for their new stuff.

hard no on basing my infra on Linux, let alone Docker/kube, so moving to the new TrueNAS stuff is a blocker. so I'm gonna have to build it myself from scratch.
