Hot day at the flea, even in the morning. Saw a few things and a pickup. One table had a bunch of Compute and Antic magazines for $2 each and saw most of a G5 machine. IIRC, seller quoted $70 but it did have an extra card in it (FireWire card I think). Still way too much imho.
I did pick up these two Mac Minis - one is a late 2014 i5 1.4GHz / 4 gb RAM and the other is a 2.8 GHz i5 / 8 gb RAM. Got the pair for $45. In hindsight, meh because the RAM is soldered on. Plan is to use in home lab stuff I’ve been working on, still can just less ideal.
The 2.8ghz i5 was having issues with the hdd, swapped in a SSD and it is lots happier. Bad news is, the i5 is a 2 core. It’ll be fine for a single Ubuntu server, but not what I was hoping.
@RetroFox The 2014s only came as dual-core 15w TDP processors. They were a step down in performance from the 2012s.
@shiroishimatora I guess the upside is, that sounds like it will only sip power - so that's good.
