I was brought up in a class/culture that talked about breakfast-dinner-tea as the meal order of the day.

Since then I have spent a lot of time in the breakfast-lunch-dinner world.

So now I talk about breakfast-dinner-dinner — and thus am annoying ambiguous to everybody.

My apologies.

@adrianh The last meal of the day is supper. I will not be taking questions at this time.
@rjbs True statement. No notes.
@adrianh As I was growing up, "tea time" on beach vacations was when people had gin and tonics. Generally about 4:00pm on.
@gdinwiddie Oh don’t get me started on the distinction between “tea” (the 4pm cup of tea and biscuits, or if visitors cake) and “tea” (the evening meal).
@adrianh 😂
We had breakfast-lunch-supper (possibly French influence, being in Quebec: "souper").
So "dinner" always left me confused: what time do you mean?
