If you'd asked me 25 years ago, I'd have said the incurious were baffling and somewhat annoying.

If you ask me now, I'd say they're an existential threat.

@jasongorman I do wonder. This week I’ve had a few lectures/one way conversations telling me that trunk based test-first approaches were “only a matter of opinion”. All from folks trying to find ways to increase efficiency/reduce costs 🤷‍♂️
@thirstybear @jasongorman I've had so many "it's all subjective" conversations that I'm just too tired to even "try reading some research, any research".
@sleepyfox @jasongorman I hear you, my friend. This is pretty basic stuff for folks to know.
@thirstybear @jasongorman Impossible to tell the difference between malice and sufficiently advanced incompetence.

@sleepyfox @jasongorman I remember a time when engineers were interested in engineering for the sake of it.

Actually, no. Thinking about it now with hindsight, the vast majority were interested in how to get promoted out of engineering and into management as fast as possible even back then. Engineering was a stepping stone🤷‍♂️

@sleepyfox @jasongorman Agile and XP went some way to redressing the balance, butit it seems “The Management” is applying their power to slap down the practices that show that they have things wrong. “Work harder, no smarter. Just make us look good” #failureship
