Sent a pull request to Audacity fixing a crash bug I'd been running into frequently. The cause was an out-of-bounds memmove. Classic C++ areas.

Anyway I got a fucking copilot review on my PR which left two comments, both completely wrong, one of which suggesting I reintroduce the out of bounds memory access. I'm furious!

@a1ba @hailey Re: takedown request email, wow, somehow I missed this back in the day. I knew Muse Group was pure garbage, but holy smokes.

I stopped paying for MuseScore premium years ago, but this has motivated me to finally remove my scores and delete my account. Thanks for pointing this out.

Upon further investigation, it became clear that Wenzheng Tang is a Chinese national, but not resident in China. As a guest in his current country, his residency status is predicated on a number of conditions, one of which is not violating the law.

If found in violation of laws, residency may be revoked and he may be deported to his home country.

This becomes even further complicated given another repo of his - Fuck 学习强国, which is highly critical of the Chinese government. Were he deported to China, who knows how he may be received.

@a1ba @hailey they already employed shady practices before, like requiring Linux distros to use conan to build audacity. Someone shall fork some pre-slop version of it deffo.
