Well cool, the fastmail support system uses a ticket number, duh, but they add an alphanumeric key as well which you must have to check status or reply. Guess this allows them to not require login to a separate ticketing system though you might need to be logged in to fast mail too. Got a fishing email that told me to upgrade my account for better security. iPhone hides full email addresses, so I knew it was fake only by sending mail back to it, a Gmail address, lmao.
Received the following from fastmail support and wanted to pass along should you ever see this and use fastmail. This response is yet another reason why I pay to escape Gmail.
Thanks for reporting this to us. I'm sorry to see that you've received such a troubling message!

You are correct. This email is not from Fastmail, and is indeed a phishing scam. I've marked this message as phishing, which will help us detect and block future attacks like this.

Thank you for sending it our way. If you're ever unsure whether an email is really from us, please note that all emails from Fastmail will have a white check mark in a green circle displayed next to the sender's name in both the inbox and on the message itself.
@ner I really need to get this. I've heard lots of people talk about how good the service is.
