Someone asked for an article that had been on the CDC website, discussing the safety of the preservative and finding that there is no evidence that it has done harm, get put back on the website. The answer was that the Secretary (aka RFK Jr) had directed that it be taken down.
Important to note that unlike yesterday morning, today the microphones for the organizational liaisons to the #ACIP -- groups like the American Assn of Pediatrics, American Association of Family Physicians, etc -- are activated. These folks are staying again and again that vaccines help protect the health of those who receive them; and that the use of #thiomersal in vaccines has been studied for decades.
Current speaker is emphasizing that multi-dose vials are a key part of pandemic preparedness; removing #thiomersal from vaccines would increase the time it takes to produce immunizations.

Also, point has been raised: if there's a concern about the safety of #thiomersal, wouldn't that be a topic for the FDA rather than the #ACIP and #CDC?
