I really wish Mastodon had a friend feature. The follow feature is needed to keep connected with users on other instances. So it makes it hard to manage more restricted content to share with closer connections that actually engage with you.

@pilou Perhaps as a workaround the concept of the after-dark account could be adjusted?

@novaflux I guess that is a possible workaround at the expense of managing 2 accounts.
If mentions would work on lists, that could work too but it doesn't seem to be possible at this stage.
