@researchfairy be careful - amongst animal professionals it is well known that fucked up people search for “free to good home“ posts for bait animals to use in dog fighting rings for training. It is more ethical to have a rehoming fee, which is well known and accepted in rescue circles. People don’t buy bait animals but they will front innocent looking families to collect the free ones. If you feel weird about charging, throw in some freebies like food and supplies but have a fee.

Urban myth. They just breed their own bait animals.
@DiarrheaLad69 @researchfairy Anyway nobody is going to be training a fighting dog against a kitten.
@researchfairy We had an almost identical kitten that we also called Tux! But his people called him Sylvester. I used to pass him quite often, grown into a large sleek tomcat, sitting on a car and wanting scritches.
@researchfairy I am nowhere near Montreal and highly allergic to cats and oh my god, he is so cute. Thanks for taking care of them ❤️❤️❤️
@researchfairy did cats evolve to abandon their offspring near humans, knowing full well that well take them in?
@researchfairy Aw darn. A friend in MN desperately wants a kitten. That's a bit far.
