A major problem with letting billionaires decide how your country is run is that they will back whichever psycho promises the lowest taxes and least regulation, no matter how completely batshit and unfit that person is
I used to think capitalism was simply an ineffective defense against fascism.
But now I think capitalism is the actual *cause* of fascism. Concentrated wealth subverts democracy and starves the people of a voice. All discontent must be misdirected to innocent bystanders.
And as OP says, any psycho who lowers taxes and regulation is promoted to the top.
