I’ve been wondering why are government agents masked?

* do they feel ashamed
* are they hiding that, perhaps, they are not, in fact, government agents.

Upholding the law should not require masked agents. But acting surreptitiously, arbitrarily, and perhaps not (fully) lawfully maybe does.

Oh, bounty hunters. Ok. Yeah, that makes sense.

Not having sworn to uphold the law and defend the constitution, yet deputized with pseudo-legal power, they are well advised to hide their identities.

Obviously, it’s a horrific state of affairs when the government organizes posses to round up people, helter skelter.

You may agree with the people they’re rounding up NOW, but caveat emptor!

Yeah. A fine mess, very fine indeed.

Also, this sets up the situation for actual criminals to kidnap and extort anyone. Who’s to say if they are deputized or not.

Masked civilians, in unmarked cars, with tactical vests, breaking your windows, pulling you out, beating you up, because of how you look —essentially. Imagine if they knew what you thought!

This is a very bad precedent, mark my words.
