BobbyJuniorSo I'd love to update NVDA to 2025.1.1, however I don't think a supported dectalk addon exists for it yet. That's the only addon keeping me from updating on my 2 laptop units. My desktop has the latest NVDA because I don't require the dectalk addon for that system and it's awesome, which is why I truly wish I could upgrade the laptops
@djrockmasterrob I use the sapi 5 version of dektalk, don't know where to find the dektalk addons

You can find the addon for NVDA 2024 at https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/DECtalk%204.99/ but, if you're running anything 2025.1 or later, the addon currently on the page won't work. Wish I could change things like inflection within the sapi5 dectalk though, that's what I love about the addon

@J3317 Being sarcastic and a little funny refering to the NvDA statement of course. But in all seriousness, with the right customisations and addons, NvDA can work with virtually anything that you toss at it. Only time I've ever had any trouble with anything is with programs that are heavily, heavily graphical. But even if anyone runs into that issue when training for schooling/jobs when using NVDA or any screen reader, there's always a workaround
