How for hell do Ukrainian train numbers work ?

I figured out how to know whether a train is a local, mainline, fast or Intercity train.

What I did not figure out :

The UZ app e.g. shows the train Odesa - Przemyśl as 036Ш. The opposite direction as 036Л.

The UZ online schedule shows the same train as 035 and 036.

The European schedule data in opposite shows the directions swapped with Odesa - Przemyśl as D 36 and the opposite direction D 35.

What's correct ? What do the letters mean ? I usually know Ш as fast train, Л on a ticket as two-seater class bur what does it mean in the train number ?

@lewd Speculation: The numbers without the suffix are those used by PKP. The suffixes seem to encode the departure region? Trains starting in Kyiv seem to have a К, the Л could be for Lviv. Dunno what the Ш would be for. Maybe they don’t want to use О for Odesa? There seem to be more trains starting there ending in Ш.
@partim Why does the 038 then have Л suffix on one day and the other one Д ? Why D if it starts in Lviv governate ?
@partim And why does the same train appear several times, once with Л and once with О ?
@lewd All very good questions. Sadly, the Internet fails me today.
@lewd @partim huh, I’d always assumed those were different departure/destination trains merging together into a single unit?
