@campuscodi JFC, this is such a misguided policy...

"absence of stored data encryption" - that's pretty much irrelevant for an encrypted messenger and is covered by the device encryption anyway. What *really* matters is the E2E encryption of the cloud backups - but that, too, is not something the app developer can control.

Also, the alternatives - Teams, OMFG! That doesn't even have proper E2E encryption! (No such encryption for personal accounts from Skype, no E2E encryption of the text chats anywhere, only one-on-one voice/video E2E encryption for academic accounts, and only voice/video E2E encryption for business accounts.)
