Nice to see some Daihatsus, there's a brand rarely seen at shows.
We saw that pink Caddy at the Good Friday cars & coffee across town.
That blue on the Falcon was utterly glorious in the sunshine.
They just kept on coming in! And such excellent makes and models. Great mix.
And then a flock of Bolwells appeared! More on these further down thread as there's an interesting story I need to share.
A flock of Mokes arrived, I was busily sending photos to my friend with a Moke saying WHERE THE HELL ARE YA
Mokes? So many Mokes! Even a Mini Moke! So very cool.
Soo those Bowells! Ok so Bolwell was a kit car made here in Melbourne

And this bulbous one is one that almost never existed.
Just extraordinary to be able to see something so rare and unusual. Not that there's many of the other models left around. All fibreglass, they are an interesting part of Australian motoring history that many not know exists.
Old and new, they kept on coming in. Curiously, the only Lotus that turned up.
And then this appeared. This is a new Bolwell! The co started back up in the mid noughties.

I've never seen one other than reading about it. My eyes just about popped out of my head.
Toyota powered. The owner said it was brand new and didn't know much about it. So Bolwell came up with this design almost 20 years ago and are still hand making cars. Mind boggling, considering how difficult it is to meet ADRs here too.
This yellow Bolwell is the one of 12 that shouldn't actually exist. Talk about rare.
Then these Jowett Javelins arrived
A blue Hillman Hunter rocks up and parks with a blue Ford Escort
As usual there's coming and goings.
@vwdasher The Lotus is not real - it clearly says "CGI" on the license plate.
