@sk76 couldn't find it but there's a version of them performing it live where it's clear that she comes out to some applause as soon armstrong sings it through - as a surprise guest - but once she starts singing there's even more applause from the people who didn't realize it's her and only know her voice

I'm guessing 1945 unless that horn wasn't his -- the following year he was definitely playing a custom Selmer trumpet, rather than a cornet.

pressing down only the 3rd valve is always a dead giveaway of a fake ... a horn player might do that once in a lifetime to play a (very out of tune) second register "C" for a tricky arpeggio that can't properly be done without fingering
