I've just spotted one in the garden too. There was a helluva racket coming from outside, and when I peered out the window, there were All The Birds, busy doing god knows what on the lawn, but doing it in their best shouty voices

Much bird activity. Woodpeckers everywhere sounding like squeaky toys. They’ve got to the squabbling, ‘go find your own tree/feeder’ stage I think.

@helenclayton Yeah, I think that might have been a big part of it here too - the Wren family and the Blackbird family who live in the chocolate vine are having a proper Montague and Capulet period atm

Off to Chelts, for a trip to That London (marching day, innit). Few days in Kent with Becky, back to their house in Hereford for the weekend, then home. This was *not* what was supposed to be happening when the week started ... ho hum. Seems like the world's ending sometime soon, so might as well
