Is there an accepted medical term for the sensation of your tongue feeling numb/tingly/like it's wrapped in clingfilm when you stand up too quickly and become lightheaded? The cause is "orthostatic hypertension" - I'm looking for a term for the accompanying oral sensation.
Please note: I'm looking for pre-existing medical terminology for this sensation - there are lots of inventive ways to describe it, but surely doctors & nurses must already have a term? I'm also looking for a label that's specific to this sensation (fuzzy/numb tongue as a result of being lightheaded). thanks in advance
