Why is this a bad thing?
It is the London opening. People like to hate it.
Why do they hate it?
It is common, some chess celebs don’t like it, but not because it is bad strategy.
It’s a decently strong opening that doesn’t require much thought. You can play it against damn near any of blacks openings, and generally leads to a strong position, but people like to dog on it since it’s a bit “braindead”. Gets played even at GM level tho
