Why are not more users using #privacy friendly #messengers? There are free and there are cheap options. But there are options. Why not? What I hear: All my friends are on WA. Fine. But install #Signal, it’s free, it is just one more app, and you support my desire of privacy. I prefer #Threema and I give them the money for it. A friend of mine had WA and approx 75 apps on his phone. I asked him for Threema or Signal. He said: “One more app?” 75 or 76… I don’t get it. “I only use Threema because of you.” Thanks. Couple of years later: “How many of your contacts are on Threema now?” “More than I thought.” Same with Signal. Don’t want to get into a discussion here about which is better. They are both compared to WA.
