✨ Wipr 2.8 is out now! ✨

This version adds support for the Reduce Motion accessibility setting.

Extra, without getting too technical, can now hijack and edit some data that the browser sends to the page. This is useful on evil video site, and will come in handy in the future!

+ many site fixes!

I’ve also started a thing, we’ll see where it goes!

@mipstian Any functional changes relevant to Wipr on the new OSes or just the new design? Also, are you planning to release any TestFlight betas related to iOS/macOS 26 during the summer, or are you waiting to show anything until public releases in the fall? 👀

PS: Thanks for making the modern web usable. 🙂

@gracjan the new design isn’t gonna impact Wipr too much (also I’m not a big fan of it).

Functionally yes maybe? But until I have some working code I don’t wanna promise anything! If I have it I’ll definitely do a beta

@mipstian I mostly like the new design. There are issues with it (mostly around legibility), but I think Apple will fix most of them during the beta process. I wasn’t an Apple user during the iOS 7 transition, but I’ve heard from others that the initial design was very rough then too and what ultimately shipped was much better. Anyway, to each their own.

Good luck with whatever mysterious new functionality you’re working on. If it sees the light of day, I’ll surely install the Wipr beta.
