If I were still in higher education I would have totally taken on qualitative/interview/ethnographic research tasked with identifying open source maintainers' needs. Your discussion was really interesting from the standpoint where cyber security can benefit from social science insights.

That probably all sounds a bit highfalutin, but bottom line is this episode underscores some really important points while also gesturing to huge areas where we have only a dim understanding of how to improve.
