This felt too valuable not to share. Braille-labeled maps of washrooms to help people find and use facilities in the washroom. Everyone deserves to get in, do their business, wash their hands, and get out in peace and safety.

This seems valuable for all public spaces.

#Blind #Accessibility

@cargot_robbie great idea. A question though, how does a blind person find the sign to access the diagram? where is it on the wall, are they uniformly placed on the wall? and a funny question too, in the accessible loo, does the guide dog have a toilet for his or her use too? *smile* *I know guide dogs don't use regular toilets, but My grandad did see a chemical bucket *dog loo* for the disposal of dog fecies in the 80s and genuinly asked, "how would a dog use that?"

@bigpawedbear @cargot_robbie

Is there something like tactile panels on footpaths, which could be used on walls?
E.g. a vertical strip (for varying hand height when searching) shows the presence of an information panel, and a tactile line leads from that, to the panel.

Add some IOT to that static panel, to indicate if stalls are occupied. Press to select a stall, and it can lock the door when unoccupied, and list a PIN to unlock the door - stop queue jumping.
Beeper in the door for guidance ?

@lnlyisol @cargot_robbie there was a tactile strip on a wall at my primary school that lined up with the doors on the classrooms, the numbers of the doors were in direct line with the strip on the wall.
