OK extreme hot take, but Stage Manager on iPadOS 26 is…actually better than the new windowing mode?? It gets the same freeform resizing, traffic-light controls, and all the new tiling features — and it even supports more than 4 windows now!

It’s basically the iPad version of macOS’ spaces and I love it

@rileytestut Isn't Stage Manager just a feature on top of the new windowing system now? The same way it is on macOS?

@jcdenton it seems like it, but previously it had a bunch of weird limitations the new system doesn’t have (max 4 windows, no tiling, limited window sizes + positions) so wasn’t sure if they’d fix those too
