svnNot very likely. Translating cpu architectures is completely different from from what wine/proton does. A compatibility layer for arm would be even more difficult and expensive, and have a performance penalty. They might plan that for further into future, if arm takes off for PC though.
deafboyAsahi linux already ships a VM to run steam on macbooks. And the VM is not even doing the heavy lifting. They do cpu instruction translation on the go, the VM is there just to solve some memory allocation quirks.
